
OK, so here we go again. Time to wake up and smell the roses as they say.
I decided to weigh myself yesterday and got the shock of my life. Now don’t get me wrong, I knew I had been gaining a little weight but I really wasn’t expecting this.
I WEIGHED 210 POUNDS!
I’ve never weighed that much in my entire life. So it’s time to start losing weight again and in doing so I have decided to do it by setting myself a challenge.
CAN I LOSE 30 POUNDS IN 60 DAYS?
Yes, I know it’s a huge target and it won’t be easy but I figure if I set the target high, then if I don’t get there at least I will be doing more than I would if I set the target lower. So 30 pounds in 60 days it is.
I am going to be writing here in my blog each day, including what I have eaten and how much exercise I have managed to do. I only have about 30mins-60mins a day for exercise, so I will use a combination of exercise and weight lifting on alternate days. This will give my aching muscles time to rest each day!
The way I will be dieting is this, it will be a low carb diet. I’ll be trying to have 3-4 meals a day and not the usual 2 big meals I have been having. I’ll also be cutting out the beer during the week too and maybe have the odd glass of wine. (I know what you’re thinking but I must have some release!).
So let’s start with today:
Today’s Food
I missed breakfast today but had 2 crispbreads with low fat cheese on for dinner at about 12 o’clock. Then I had a bowl of tomato soup for tea at 16.30. Tonight I have had a small amount of sliced ham cubes, which I have been picking at.
Today’s Exercise
I have managed to do about 45 minutes of weight lifting tonight. Just free-weights and push ups.
We’ll see what effect it has when I weight myself in the morning!
